Holographics are a ubiquitous technology, replacing most (but not all) physical viewscreens that were common in the 21st century. The most popular is the venerable Holopanel, a two-dimensional holographically projected plane the replicates your typical computer screen. Holopanels offer considerable advantages to their physical counterparts, most notably their ability to be easily arranged into any configuration depending on the intended use case. Holographics can also be immersive three-dimensional volumetric projections that are fully interactable, allowing users to reach in and interact with individual UI elements.
Another, far more advanced form of holographics is the Holosphere, as seen in Angelfyre. Unlike other forms of holographics, which are more volumetric-type displays, Holospheres are true holograms, giving full depth perception through careful light field projection control. They are named so as they either partially or completely encompass the viewer, creating a perfectly immersive visual environment that does not interfere with movement.
