Celnur System – Planet Celnur-Faal
The Fel are a tall humanoid species reaching over 2m in height. They share very similar history in the development of their civilization to that of humans, having endured several world wars and runaway global climate warming from fossil fuel emissions. A distinctive characteristic are their remarkably large and colourful irises, a result of iridophores that alter the reflected wavelengths of light. These features change with emotion and mood, adding another layer to the complexity of Fel communication to that of humans.
The Fel were the very first species to strike a fellowship with the early human interstellar pioneers. This would evolve into a hardened alliance between the two as both found an abundance of common ground, especially given their analogous history and the Fel being only decades away from discovering superluminal travel for themselves. The alliance was formalized after a period of diplomatic politicking, and shortly after, a joint superluminal expedition beyond the Cygnus Rift that would set the groundwork for the formation of the Stelerean Constellation.
The entirety of Celnur-Faal is a full Tier-1 state under UniSys, with many of the original Fel laws, corporate governance and legislation frameworks, as well as defense force organizational structure forming the backbone of the United Systems Charter. Together with the superior tactical and strategic abilities demonstrated by mankind, this is a key reason the Human-Fel alliance retain such control over aspects as union security and defense.
