Lefincheryn System – Planet Traxa
The Traxens are a controversial species best known for their callous attitudes toward other races. Along with humans, Traxens were one of the first civilizations capable of interstellar travel in superluminal ships. Given the extremely disruptive nature of their society, it was initially uncertain how they retained such scientific and technological foothold. It was later realized that the technology had either been handed to them or taken by force, the most popular theory being that the Hyxis had supplied the tech in return for their alliance.
Traxa is a complex and somewhat violent society with several hundred distinct nations. Traxa is, for the most part, a Tier-non within UniSys Society, although Tier-4 and Tier-3 agreements are in place for a very few Traxen nations. Traxa is a thorny and controversial issue in the UniSys council given the civilization’s extremely polar nature, a situation only made worse with some nations having, apparently, fully aligned with the Hyxis.
The common-tongue term ‘Traxen’ was given by the pioneering human colonists that first encountered them, an inside joke after this seemingly superior enemy was swiftly defeated at the Battle of Calnerin. After this surprisingly easy conclusion to an otherwise highly tense situation, soldiers and colonists began referring to them after a popular laxative.
