The United Systems

UniSys

The United Systems (UniSys) is a collaborative endeavour by the alliance of humans and Fel to bring together star systems and worlds that would benefit from the collective management of resources, administration, economics, and defence. UniSys was founded upon, and is guided by, the United Systems Charter of 2289 AD.

Each full member system is represented by a seat on the UniSys Council of Systems. A council head, the ‘Prime’, is elected every four cycles to oversee council meetings. Humans and Fel still play a pivotal role in the operations of the union, the alliance overseeing the implementation of the voted resolutions of council and commanding the various defense structures.

UniSys comprises of two distinct categories of state:

Settled World Systems: Non-native worlds (free of sentient civilizations) that were discovered, incorporated, and subsequently settled by UniSys. These are considered full sovereign territory of UniSys and all UniSys Charter conditions apply with full enfettered movement and trading within UniSys states.

Native Homeworld Systems: Civilizations that are either native or have settled on their world prior to any formal relations with UniSys. UniSys Charter conditions are applied to native systems depending on the diplomatic tier of relations that is entered upon:

Tier 1 – Full integration with United Systems, with UniSys Charter conditions superseding all existing laws, effectively becoming a state of UniSys. This gives citizens full rights within UniSys as well as full economic access to the union.

Tier 2 – Partially independent state with negotiated integration and compliance with UniSys Charter conditions. Full movement and trade are granted without limitation between UniSys states.

Tier 3 – Fully independent state with compliance only with UniSys Charter sentience rights clauses. Travel and trade with UniSys states allowed under specific conditions.

Tier 4 – Full independence with only UniSys Charter trading cooperation agreements. Travel to UniSys states allowed only under strict conditions with full prior vetting.

Tier-non – Non-aligned, no formal agreements or membership in place. All commercial and trading cooperation, as well as travel across UniSys states allowed on a case-by-case basis under strict conditions with full prior vetting and approval.
